Makers with some experience looking for the next step
Are you a budding potters with a little experience who wants to work on their own practice, but wouldn’t mind having a tutor on hand to answer those curly questions? Open studio sessions are designed for you.
Take advantage of our fully equipped Renwick St Studio to discover your creativity.
Our 3 hour studio sessions are only available to those who are able to work independently and safely within the studio, but want the help of a teacher if needed. Participants must be familiar with tools and proficient use of clay or wheels. While clay must be purchased separately, our helpful teachers will show you how to reuse your clay to get the most out of it, and answer any questions you may have.
It is required that you have completed a four or six week course in your chosen discipline (wheel or handbuilding).
As we can only keep work for 6 weeks after they come out of the kiln, please ensure that you book your classes less than 6 weeks apart.
Students MUST bring a clear plastic storage container to store your pieces in the studio, otherwise we cannot store them.
Clay costs: 1/2 bag: $11, Full bag: $22
Open studio participants may ONLY work in midfire clay. For those who attended before 2021 lockdown and are working in stoneware, you may finish your bags.
Discounts offered for those interested in a 5 or 10 pack of classes, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
Class sizes are strictly limited (sorry, you must be over 16 years to attend)
